HOTEL CHICAGO DOWNTOWN

WHY ATTEND?

New This Year

We heard your feedback and have some new and updated features. In addition to the great content to onboard newer users, this year we will present new content for our regular attendees. Sessions will feature more use cases to learn how other universities have solved their challenges, and sessions will be longer to enable deep dives into these pivotal topics.

Hands On Training

Become a Sophia expert with hands on user training across every aspect of the Sophia system. Wellspring staff are available for face to face time in addition to providing in depth training on over a dozen unique subjects.

Tech Transfer Best Practices

The User Group meeting is more than just training, however. We are proud to offer client led discussions on best practices for TTO management. The 2019 event will feature peer to peer discussions where users can learn from their colleagues in other offices across the globe.

Networking Events

The seven planned networking events ensure that all attendees are able to meet with colleagues from other offices. The User Group meeting provides a venue for discussion and the exchange of ideas unlike any other conference or trade event.

Structure

This year, Thursday, November 14 will be dedicated to 1:1 training sessions with Wellspring experts and Friday, November 15, will be a full day of presentations, networking, and 1:1 training sessions.

FRIDAY SESSIONS agenda

While Thursday is reserved for hour long 1:1 sessions, Friday will be packed with sessions around a variety of topics. This year's user group includes three parallel tracks, to provide sessions serving a wide range of attendees, from Sophia newbies to experienced experts and power users.
  • Foundations: Broad topics for new and recently trained Sophia users or those looking to brush up on the fundamentals.
  • Functions: Deep dives into specific advanced topics. These sessions target experienced users and assume an intermediate proficiency.
  • Community: Learn from Wellspring experts. Hear how other offices are solving similar challenges. Create community with regional meet-ups throughout the year.
